Dear Colleagues

It is hard to believe that we are already half way through the semester and that the Easter break has already arrived. Sadly the mid semester break also signals the end of Associate Professor Jenny Sim’s time at the University of Auckland. In the 5 years since her appointment, Jenny has literally reshaped Medical Imaging education and training in New Zealand. She has led the team that has overseen the introduction and successful accreditation of Post Graduate training in the Medical Imaging specialist scopes of practice, introduced an innovative hands on intensive training course in ultrasound, and has started a new undergraduate programme in Medical Imaging. A series of outstanding contributions that has position the University as the leading provider of Medical Imaging Education in New Zealand. Unfortunately for us, Jenny has accepted a position as the Professor of Medical Imaging at Monash University, which enables her to return to her home city of Melbourne. I would personally like to thank Jenny for her efforts to grow Medical Imaging at the University of Auckland, and I wish her well in her new position.

Regards

Paul
