Please join us in celebrating the fellowship success of Dr Renita Martis, who was recently awarded an AMRF post-doctoral fellowship! Her project is titled ‘Inter-tissue antioxidant exchange in the eye’. Using an animal model, her project will investigate the physiological changes in the eye following cataract surgery and vitrectomy. This will help determine why individuals who have had these surgeries develop secondary eye disease.
She will be conducting her research in the Molecular Vision Research Cluster, led by Professor Paul Donaldson, and will be mentored by Dr Julie Lim, an expert in oxidative stress and the eye.
