Dr Fiona McBryde has been elected as the New Zealand representative on the Federation of the Asian and Oceanian Physiological Societies (FAOPS) at the recent FAOPS meeting in Daegu, Korea.

Congratulations also to Associate Professor Rohit Ramchandra, Associate Professor Julia Lim and Dr Fiona McBryde for an excellent symposium at the meeting.

Professor Johanna Montgomery has been awarded the 2023 Nina Kondelos Award, by the Australasian Neuroscience Society. This award goes to a female neuroscientist in recognition of outstanding contributions to basic or clinical neuroscience research. The award will be presented in Brisbane at the annual ANS meeting in December after her award lecture.

Professor Alistair Gunn has been awarded the Howard Williams Medal 2024 from the Paediatrics and Child Health Division of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians for outstanding contributions to Paediatrics and Child Health in Australia and/or Aotearoa New Zealand. Alistair will receive his medal after giving an oration on his research work at the RACP Congress in May 2024.
