Congratulations to Adelie Tan who recently defended her PhD thesis. Adelie’s thesis is titled, ‘Elucidating drivers of neurovascular unit changes in the Huntington’s disease human brain’. She studied in the Department of Anatomy and Medical Imaging and was supervised by Dr. Malvindar Singh-Bains and co-supervised by Professor Mike Dragunow and Distinguished Professor Sir Richard Faull.

She recently co-authored a high impact publication in the journal Nature Protocols which features some of her developed PhD methodology in Singh-Bains, M.K., Mehrabi, N.F., Tan, A.Y.S. et al. The paper was entitled, ‘Preparation, construction and high-throughput automated analysis of human brain tissue microarrays for neurodegenerative disease drug development’.
