A warm welcome to Tracey Immanuel, Research Technician from the Department of Molecular Medicine and Pathology. She started as a Research Assistant in the Blood and Cancer Biology Laboratory, headed by Dr Maggie Kalev.

Tracey is a molecular biologist with over 10 years research experience and has previously specialised in plant pathology. She is skilled in molecular (PCR, NGS, macroarrays) and proteomic (recombinant protein expression and analysis, Western blotting, ELISA) assays. She also has a wide range of cell culture experience (viral, prokaryotic and eukaryotic).

In her new position, Tracey will be testing samples from patients with acute and chronic blood cancers, such as leukaemia and myeloproliferative neoplasms, with an aim to help increase insights into disease mechanisms.
