PhD
Amy Chapman successfully defended her thesis ‘Optimising the derivation of mature neurons from adult human induced neural precursor cells using in vitro and ex vivo systems’. She was supervised by Associate Professor Bronwen Connor.
Tania Fowke successfully defended her thesis ‘The role of the extracellular matrix in neuronal development and perinatal brain injury’. She was supervised by Dr Justin Dean and co supervised by Associate Professor Alan Davidson, Professor Alistair Gunn, Johanna Montgomery and Dr Simon O’Carroll.
Herah Hansji successfully defended her thesis ‘ZFAS1: a long non-coding RNA with novel implications for ribosome function’. She was supervised by Dr Graeme Finlay.
A warm welcome to Edward Ferdian from the department of Anatomy and Medical Imaging who started his PhD in March 2018. He is supervised by Professor Alistair Young and Dr Avan Suinesiaputra. His tentative thesis title is ‘Machine Learning for 4D Flow MRI’.
