Dr Andrea Doubleday has been appointed as a member of one the health regulatory authorities, the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) which plays a vital role in protecting the health and safety of New Zealanders by ensuring practitioners are fit and competent to practice.
The announcement was made last month https://www.beehive.govt.nz/minister/hon-simeon-brown
As a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director for the Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Honours), this is a well-deserved recognition of her contributions and leadership in medical imaging education, as well as a background in Centre for Medical and Health Sciences Education, where she played a key role in curriculum development and interdisciplinary teaching.
This shows great recognition for our Medical Imaging team, which also includes Allanah Harrington, a PTF in Cardiac Ultrasound co-chairing The Māori Practitioners Advisory Committee ǀ Te Manu Mātārae within the MRTB.
