Professor Mike Dragunow, Department of Pharmacology and CBR is a renowned neuropharmacologist who has been honoured with both the 2024 Hercus Medal by the Royal Society and the 2024 Marsden Medal by the New Zealand Association of Scientists for his groundbreaking research work studying the causes of and treatments for brain disorders and brain cancers.

Mike’s work has significantly advanced our understanding of brain pharmacology and the development of treatments for brain disorders and cancers, making him deserving of these prestigious awards.
