Researchers in the University of Auckland School of Computer Science (Drs Miao Qiao and Yun Sing Koh) and the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (Drs Samantha Holdsworth, Miriam Scadeng, Alan Wang) and Auckland Bioengeineering Institute (Drs Vickie Shim, Alan Wang) have been awarded a collaborative MBIE 2020 Catalyst Strategic grant.
In collaboration with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, the project aims to understand and locate deep connectivity patterns in the human brain with cutting-edge graph analytics tools. The project focuses on the identification of subtle differences between data from brains with early symptoms of neurodegeneration (Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s) and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).
