The School of Medical Sciences hosted summer research students over the summer 2019-2020, to undertake 10-week research projects. Fay Abdul Ghani, MVL, Department of Physiology, presented her work she conducted over the summer, at the NZ National Eye Centre Summer Scholar Symposium. The Symposium was held on 21 February 2020. Her rapid-fire 4 minutes presentation titled ‘Development of a new tool in the lens towards manipulation of genes and their effect on lens development and transparency’ won her the first prize at the presentation competition. Well done Fay.
