To support a major industry partnership, Nikki Moreland and her team have established a specialised PC2 laboratory within the School. The lab will serve as a central hub for analysing Strep A vaccine efficacy by running gold-standard assays that measure functional immune responses. The lab is now fully approved by GSK for their upcoming Phase 1 clinical trial, a major milestone and huge effort by lab-team members Aimee Paterson, Kelly Peterken and Reuben McGregor over the last 2 years.
