We welcome new PhD student Janneke Grundemann, who will be working under the supervision of Dr Emma Nolan, Professor Rod Dunbar, and Dr Saem Park. Her research focuses on mapping macrophage diversity in breast cancer, aiming to identify distinct macrophage phenotypes across pre-invasive and invasive disease. Using spatial analyses and organoid co-culture models, her work will investigate macrophage-driven mechanisms of tumour progression and therapy response.
