A new study by researchers at the University of Auckland was published recently in BMJ Nutrition, Prevention & Health. The study identifies major diet inequities among New Zealand adolescents – analysing data from more than 4,000 12-year-olds – and found that many are eating diets high in sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats, with those in more vulnerable circumstances disproportionately affected.
