Congratulations to Dr Ana Luiza Sayegh, Department of Physiology, on being awarded the Gavin and Ann Kellaway Medical Research Fellowship to participate in the ‘2nd comprehensive microneurography course’ at the Monash Prato Centre, Tuscany, Italy.
This prestigious two-week course brings together leading global experts and researchers to advance the science and application of microneurography, a technique used to measure nerve activity in humans. Ana is one of only two researchers in New Zealand who have been trained to perform this technique.
Participation in this course will provide essential hands-on training to support her research on how autonomic control regulates the cardiovascular system.
Well done Ana! Have a wonderful summer trip to Italy.
