A warm welcome to Lisa Cotton, Professional Teaching Fellow in Mammography from the Department of Anatomy and Medical Imaging.
Lisa has over 25 years of medical imaging experience in the public and private sectors. She has been fortunate to have experience in MRI, CT and mammography over her career. She is currently the Lead Mammographer at Breast Institute New Zealand (BINZ) and holds a casual Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) role at Affinity Medical Imaging. She is interested in continuing her education for MITs and exploring innovative technologies aiding breast cancer diagnosis.
Lisa’s workplace at BINZ is the only private provider of Contrast Enhanced Mammography in Aotearoa and she enjoys sharing her understanding of this technology with others. She is based in the Wellington region with her husband and three teenagers. She looks forward to working closely with the MI team and sharing her knowledge and experience to aid our students’ learning journey.
