Anantha Narayanan represented the Department of Physiology and the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the finals of the University’s Three Minute Thesis Competition. He was the runner-up with his presentation on ‘Stress, music and the operating surgeon’.
Anantha is training to be a vascular surgeon himself, and during the course of his research found the use of music during operations was widespread around the world, but what sort of a difference it makes has yet to be widely studied.
Well done, Anantha.
