Connor Clemett recently completed his PhD oral and did an excellent job of defending his thesis.

Connor was also named on the Dean’s List, which is only awarded to a select number of doctoral candidates each year. Inclusion on the Dean’s List recognises student work which is of exceptional quality in every respect, including scholarship, research content, quality of expression, and accuracy of presentation. This is an excellent achievement by Connor, highlighting the excellence of his work.

Connor’s PhD project was titled, ‘Digestion of chondroitin sulphate proteoglycans by AAV5-GfaABC1D-ADAMTS4 gene therapy enhances non-neuronal responses to contusive spinal injury.’

He was supervised by Dr Simon O’Carroll and co-supervised by Professor Bronwen ConnorDr Amy McCaughey-Chapman and Associate Professor Debbie Young.
