Brya Matthews received an Amgen Outstanding Abstract Award from Australia and New Zealand Bone and Mineral Society (ANZBMS) for work presented at their recent annual meeting on the Gold Coast. The abstract was entitled ‘Epidemiology of fractures in different ethnic groups across the lifespan in New Zealand’. This project is outside Brya’s usual biomedical interests and uses a rich dataset obtained from ACC. Co-authors were Subhajit Konar (Nutrition), Dr Emma Buckels (MMP), Dr David Musson (Nutrition), and Dr Sarah-Jane Paine (TKHM).
