Audrys Pauza was awarded first prize for his poster presentation at the International Society of Arterial Chemoreceptors (ISAC) held in Lisbon, Portugal. His talk was titled ‘Created equal? Exploring intra-individual differences between carotid bodies’.
The ISAC was held as a hybrid meeting this year, and those that could not attend the meeting in person (such as Audrys) were invited to present a poster. Instead of the usual poster presentation, he gave a 5-minute 5-slide presentation, plus a 5-minute Q&A, over Zoom.
Out of the 24 posters presented, only a single prize was awarded. When announcing the winners, the prize selection committee stated that the decision was based on multiple factors, including the research, presentation, handling of Q&A and the career stage of the presenter.
Congratulations, Audrys!
