As many of you already know, Professor Janusz Lipski retired in December last year. This is after 35 years of working at the University of Auckland in the Department of Physiology and Centre for Brain Research, and 50 years overall on the job as a neurophysiologist. He has been made ‘Professor Emeritus’ by the University Senate. This recognises his significant contribution to research, teaching, and service throughout his career at our university. Not everyone has this prestigious title conferred, marking this a very special event.

Congratulations and best wishes Janusz!
