The international collaborative research between the University of Auckland and the University of Sydney was published in the Nutrients journal last week. It looked at online food delivery options from the leading companies in Sydney and Auckland. They found that almost 75 percent of the most popular food outlets were unhealthy options (e.g., fast-food franchise stores or local takeaway stores) and over 85 percent of the most popular menu items were junk foods. You can read more in the media release or full publication.
The staff involved in the study was Dr Rajshri Roy, and the student involved was FMHS Masters in Health Sciences Nutrition and Dietetics student Jessica Malloy.
