Congratulations, Dr Annika Winbo on winning the 2020 Heart Rhythm Society Young Investigator Award for her work entitled ‘Increased neurotransmission in sympathetic neurons derived from long QT syndrome type I patient induced pluripotent stem cells”.
This is a highly competitive international award, involving submission of a manuscript, 3 rounds of elimination, followed by the selection of 3 finalists to give oral presentations (this was meant to occur in San Diego in May, but was instead live on Zoom). Her fellow finalists were from Stanford University and UCLA.
