Congratulations Mr Regan (Zhe) Fu on completing the oral defence of his PhD thesis on 18 May 2020. After a thorough and detailed examination by Associate Professor Roslyn Kemp, Otago University, (together with international examination by Professor Philippe Lambin, Maastricht University), the award of the PhD was recommended with minor corrections. Regan’s thesis was also recommended for inclusion on the Dean’s list. Associate Professor Kemp indicated Regan’s concluding discussion was one of the finest she’d ever read.
Regan’s thesis entitled “Tarloxotinib amplifies the anti-tumour efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors through multiple mechanisms” was supervised by Associate Professor Adam Patterson and co-supervised by Professor Ian Hermans, Associate Professor Jeff Smaill. Regan’s work forms part of a longstanding collaboration with the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research.
