Congratulations to Kento Cho and Simerdeep Dhillon from the department of Physiology, who successfully defended their PhD thesis.
Kento thesis was entitled, ‘Exploration of a potential Immunomodulatory pathway for treatment of Preterm Hypoxic-Ischaemic brain injury’. He was supervised by Professor Mhoyra Fraser and Professor Alistair Gunn. Kento was supported by the Barbara Basham doctoral scholarship.
Simerdeep thesis was entitles ‘Preterm brain injury: mechanisms and neuroprotective treatments’ She was supervised by Professor Laura Bennet and co-supervised by Professor Alistair Gunn and Dr Joanne Davidson.
