Dr Rajshri Roy was awarded the Faculty Research and Development Fund (FRDF) New Staff Grant. The grant awarded was for a sum of $30,000 for research supporting the development of a toolkit for building a healthier place to work and learn.
Dr Catherine Tsai, a Research Fellow in the Proft Lab, has been awarded with a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Auckland Medical Research Foundation (AMRF), for a sum of $198,264. The 2-year fellowship provides support for Catherine’s work on PilVax, a novel peptide delivery platform for the development of mucosal vaccines. In particular, she focuses on peptides derived from Mycobacterium tuberculosis with the aim to develop a vaccine against TB.
The aim of her project is to further investigate and improve the safety and efficacy profile of TB PilVax, in order to facilitate clinical applications of this novel vaccine technology.
Dr Juliette Cheyne was awarded the 2018 Neurological Foundation Project Grant ‘Examining development and function of the auditory cortex in Autism Spectrum Disorder with two-photon imaging’ for a sum of $196,412 and the2018 Lottery Health Research Equipment Grant for a sum of $59,332
