Congratulations to Aimee Humphries, one of our 5th year MBChB student and BMedSci (Hons) candidate currently working with the Departments of Anatomy and Medical Imaging and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, supervised by Dr Ali Mirjalili and Prof Peter Stone.
She has completed a novel study looking at the effect of position on maternal haemodynamics during late pregnancy. The results of this study have demonstrated dramatic results with implications for preventing stillbirth in late pregnancy.
Aimee has presented her work at a number of international conferences over the year and recently won an award for ‘The Best Oral Presentation’ at the International Stillbirth Alliance conference in Cork, Ireland.
